Lauder Bowden

Lauder has been a member of the New York Design and Art community since 1968. After receiving his BFA from Pratt Institute, he began his professional design life at George Nelson and Company, the celebrated Industrial Design and Architectural firm. In 1969 he joined the newly formed Kenneth Walker Design Group (later Walker-Grad), and became Vice President and Creative Director there in 1975. He opened his own design studio in 1979 to work with such clients as: Rogers and Hammerstein and The New York City Opera and has collaborated on design with Edward F. Knowles Architects and .Dexter Design.

Lauder and Barbara have been working together for over thirty years on major projects from Santa Barbara to The Bahamas. Over the years they have created highly personal interiors and furnishing for their clients.

Lauder is also an accomplished fine artist having shown in various venues in New York and New England.
